Live workshop led by Jessica Koehler
Do you work somewhere that has ambitious goals around AI and machine learning, but don’t know where to start? Does the idea of creating AI-driven features and products bring up feelings of fear, worry, or anxiety? Figure out why and how you might use AI to best solve the organization’s user and business problems
Discover what your organization needs to bring AI and machine learning ideas to life
Scope AI projects so they can realistically deliver value to the people using them
Craft a northstar that your team can use to stay aligned and communicate with others

About the instructor

What people say about our classes
I learned specific techniques that I can use right away, and I came away feeling empowered.

The exercises that we did can be applied to my current job and got the wheels turning about how I could handle some of the current challenges I'm facing.

How it works
We’ll have a mix of teaching, hands-on activities, and discussion. We'll have several short breaks (5-10 mins) throughout the day and one longer break (20-30 mins) about halfway through.
Each workshop is limited to 24 attendees to make sure small group activities and discussions are valuable for everyone. There will also be a second facilitator helping the instructor with logistics, activities, and any support you may need.
Technology and tools we’ll use
We’ll use a few different tools to create an interactive, hands-on learning environment. A computer that you can install Slack and Zoom on should be all you need to participate.
A Zoom call with breakout rooms. We’ll use a main room for lectures and discussions, and smaller breakout rooms for hands-on activities. Video is welcome, but not required. Participate however you’re comfortable.
Miro for activities. This virtual whiteboard will be where we practice the different methods we’re teaching. We’ll share the Miro board templates with you after the class so you can adapt them to your own work.
Slack for communication. We’ll use Slack to keep everyone apprised of what’s happening during the workshop, and as a way to share resources and links.
Equity pricing
We offer 6 equity tickets to each class that are dramatically reduced in price. These are intended to help people who are unemployed, underrepresented, or experiencing other types of inequity.
This is all on the honor system. Please don’t buy one if this doesn’t describe you. Especially don’t buy one if your company is paying for the class.
Refunds and transfers
Due to the time-sensitive nature of live workshops, we can’t offer refunds. However, if you’re not able to attend and want to transfer your ticket to someone else, just let us know.
Code of conduct
This workshop is provided by Metts Strategy LLC, the business behind Leading Like You. We’re dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. All attendees must adhere to the Metts Strategy Code of Conduct.
Certificates of completion
If you or your employer would like me to send a certificate saying you’ve completed the workshop giving an overview of what you learned, we’re happy to do so. Just let us know.
